Bio

Kentrell Ragin is a songwriter, vocalist, musician and producer armed with the message of Jesus Christ and a sound that refuses to be confined.

Kentrell is a native of Bridgeport, Connecticut. He began his musical journey playing the piano at the age of three. His family knew this gift was from God because he had

never taken piano lessons. After rigorous practice and refining, Kentrell publicly debuted his musical ability at the age of 7.

As a teenager, he added singing to his list of musical abilities. Kentrell’s passion in music has always touched the lives of the people. In 2009, Kentrell traveled with his High School band and was awarded: Best Pianist and Best Vocalist. These accolades caught the attention of national recording artist, JJ Hairston.

Kentrell began traveling locally and internationally playing the organ for Hairston and his group, Youthful Praise. Later Kentrell began to travel as a solo artist, ministering in Canada, Jamaica and England. He also began writing and producing for various artists. Kentrell has shared the stage with Erica Campbell, Tasha Cobbs, Deon Kipping, Detrick Haddon, Kierra Sheard, Karen Clark Sheard, Marvin Sapp and Tye Tribbett.

He released his debut album on the 1st of December 2017 entitled, Like Never Before.

Above all, Kentrell’s #1 passion is to worship God in spirit and in truth and to draw lives to Christ through praise and worship. After the transition of his Dear Mother LySandra Ragin in December 2019, the Lord has thrust Kentrell into a season of solitude and sitting at his feet. It was during this time he received new songs and revelation in the midst of the season he was going through. It is in this season that he also understood there was a deeper call on his life of Leadership. Kentrell accepted his elevation and is Newly Ordained as Associate Pastor & Worship Pastor at his church “Empowerment Christian Church''. Under the Leadership of Pastor Corey R. Saulsbury.

Kentrell also serves as Worship Leader and Minister of Music at a couple other ministries.
